Asia Minor, which is called as western Anatolia of Turkey, has been the cradle of many civilizations for centuries. Hittites, Sumerians, Ionians, Lydians, Pghrygians, Romans, Seljuk and Ottoman Turks have established a lot of kingdoms, city states, states and empires from the beginning of the history and up to now. West part of Turkey is now hosting so many civilizations including pagan temples, archeological sites, edifices and buildings as well as graves, tombs, sarcophagus and gravestones reflecting the great culture as the examples today. Pagan temples were the first shrines which were visited either to consult an oracle from the temple or to sacrifice an animal to keep the devil away. Sarcophagus were used to bury the rich families to be sent down to heaven or to give them eternity in Hellenistic and Roman times. Graveyards and cemeteries also were used to bury moslem believers inside the downtowns and backyards of the mosques. This unique and extreme tour is designed to show the unique burial places in Asia minor as chronocigal order in various cultural examples and practices and to inform the clients traditional burial customs still being practised by local inhabitants.
